Author Jane Hamilton will be speaking at the Central Library,1000 Grand Avenue, on Wednesday April 22 at 7 PM. You may know her from The Book of Ruth, a novel touched by Oprah and therefore familiar to everyone in the universe who has a television. I exaggerate a smidge. I just finished her latest book, Laura Rider’s Masterpiece. A romance is manipulated by a woman without a romantic bone in her body, but she nevertheless wishes to write romance novels.
